ADBlue

What is ADBLUE?

ADBLUE is an exhaust fluid used in diesel engines to reduce nitrous oxide emissions. It’s not an engine additive but is injected into the exhaust flow at high temperatures. ADBLUE is typically topped up during service schedules or as needed based on mileage. Most vehicles from 2015 onwards are equipped with an ADBLUE system, indicated by a blue filler cap next to the fuel cap.

What happens when ADBLUE runs out / low mileage range

When ADBLUE runs out or is low, a warning light on the dashboard will appear, indicating “ADBLUE,” “low mileage count,” or “non-start” due to low ADBLUE levels or a fault in the ADBLUE tank. Professionals can reset the ADBLUE system, top up the tank, and resolve the issue.

Will diagnostics sort this?

In some rare but lucky cases yes your local breakdown company or mechanic as like us can simply reset the adblue system top up the tank and away you go…..
